The Easy Way To Keep Clients Coming Back In Your Massage Therapy Business

The Easy Way To Keep Clients Coming Back In Your Massage Therapy Business

By Amy Roberts

From time to time we need to look at our massage businesses and ask ourselves “how can I get clients to come back?” It’s a very, very good question to ask because it keeps your mind fresh to search for new ideas.

The answer to this question is very simple. And that is “Give your clients what they want.” And I don’t mean “a massage.” Yes, they want a good massage treatment, but what they want above all is a solution to their problem, and they come to you because they want it in the form of a massage treatment.

If you see a client called Harold who comes to you from a referral from an Osteopath and has a shoulder injury that needs work, to give you the competitive edge over other therapists as far as excellent services goes, what else can you give Harold? What I am talking about is to offer a high level of customer service.

Customer service in Massage Therapy is not only giving good massages.

Let’s look at what I mean.

In my massage practice, the really I experienced so much success was because I always viewed myself as a business person who did massage therapy. This gave me the edge over other therapists who believed that “business” in massage was a dirty word. However as a result of this thinking I adopted I was able to constantly improve my massage business through my own personal customer service, making it easier for the clients decision process to come to me and surprising them with rewards as a thankyou for their patronage.

I will explain how this works practically in your massage business. When clients come to you, don’t just see them as someone coming for a massage. See them as some who is potentially going to give you (if you do this right) business for a long time. Not only must you view them in this way, but see them as a potential resource of new clients.

And its all in your customer service. Looking after your new and old clients will not only benefit them, but you will get more referrals and long term business. In other words you will keep clients coming back.

To start your new customer service in your massage business start with rewarding your best clients. Simply write a list of all the things that you can reward them with. Perhaps you might start with a gift pack of essential oils for example. (Such as Young Living Essential Oils- they are the best.)

Whatever is you do to improve your customer service, remember that you are personally responsible for keeping clients coming back. So start really thinking about what you can do for your clients and you will notice that you client retention levels increase.

Good luck!
